Nigeria Professional Football League Champions Rivers United FC on Sunday evening battled to a 0-1 win over DC Motema Pembe in the CAF Confederation Cup.

In the other game involving Rivers United FC group opponents, Ivorien side ASEC Mimosas defeated Diabes Noirs 2-0. Rivers United FC are group B leaders after three games and will host Motema Pembe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium Uyo in round four.
