2023 AFCON star Kenneth Omeruo helps Kasimpasa maintain unbeeaten

Fresh from winning silever medal at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Cote d’Ivoire, Kenneth Omeruo was in action for Turkish club, Kasimpasa.

Kenneth Omeruo played a crucial role in helping Kasimpasa maintain their unbeaten streak after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Fatih Karagumruk in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday, February 16, 2024.

Omeruo, who recently featured for the Super Eagles in their runner-up finish at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, returned to action for Kasimpasa and featured for the full 90 minutes in the home fixture.

The match saw Nuno Da Costa open the scoring for Kasimpasa in the 11th minute, providing an early advantage for the team.

However, despite their efforts, Kasimpasa was unable to hold onto the lead, conceding an equalizer later in the game.

Despite the draw, Kasimpasa’s performance extendted their unbeaten run to four games, with three wins and one draw in their recent outings.

The team currently sits in fifth place in the league standings with 39 points, just one point away from securing European clu competition qualification spot.

Omeruo who in mid-week bagged Nigeria national honours, will be happy to have earned game-time at his club, whom he joined in the summer.
