The Nigerian glovesman achieved this feat during Wrexham’s 2-0 away win against Peterborough United at Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday.

Okonkwo’s impressive performance has drawn attention from the Nigeria Football Federation, with a potential call-up to the Super Eagles on the horizon.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper has already represented England at various youth levels, including U15, U16, U17, and U18.

This achievement marks only the second time Okonkwo has managed to post three shutouts in consecutive matches.

He first accomplished this feat during the 2022-2023 season with Crewe Alexandra, keeping clean sheets in back-to-back matches against Leyton Orient, Colchester United, and Swindon Town.

Wrexham signed Okonkwo on a permanent basis in June 2024 after his outstanding performances during the 2023-2024 campaign, which saw the club secure promotion to the third tier of English football.

He was named the best goalkeeper in League Two by the English Football League in April 2024, posting 13 clean sheets in 34 league appearances.

Okonkwo’s consistent form has been crucial to Wrexham’s success, with the team not conceding in an away league match since April 6.

His exceptional goalkeeping skills have made him a key player for Wrexham, and his potential call-up to the Super Eagles could be a significant boost for the Nigerian national team.

Okonkwo continues to impress and he remains focused on helping Wrexham achieve success in the new season.
