Libya has chosen to host Nigeria at the Martyrs of Benina Stadium in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying Matchday 4 encounter.
The stadium, located in Benina, 19 kilometers outside Benghazi, features an artificial turf.
The match is scheduled for Tuesday, October 15, at 8 pm Nigeria time, following the teams’ clash on Friday, October 11, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
Libya remains at the bottom of Group D after two rounds, with a 1-1 draw against Rwanda and a 1-2 loss to Benin Republic.

Nigeria leads the group with four points, having defeated Benin Republic 3-0 and drawn 0-0 with Rwanda.
Interim Super Eagles manager Austin Eguavoen will lead the three-time African champions in the double-header.
The artificial pitch may pose a challenge for Nigeria, but Eguavoen’s squad will be determined to maintain their top position in the group.
“We’re prepared to face any challenge,” Eguavoen said. “The artificial pitch won’t be an excuse. We’ll adapt and give our best.”
Nigeria’s players are confident in their ability to overcome the unfamiliar surface.
“We’ve played on artificial pitches before,” said midfielder Wilfred Ndidi. “We’ll adjust our game plan accordingly and focus on getting the three points.”
The match in Benina will be crucial for both teams, with Libya seeking to revive their qualifying hopes and Nigeria aiming to solidify their position atop the group.
The 10,000-capacity Martyrs of Benina Stadium is expected to be electric, with Libyan fans eager to support their team.
“We’ll make it difficult for Nigeria,” said Libya coach Abdel Razek Al-Faqasi. “Our fans will be behind us, and we’ll give everything to get the win.”
