NPFL: Alalade, Kola Daniel, 15 others axed by Shooting Stars

Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan has dropped seventeen (17) players including Wasiu Alalade and Kolawole Daniel as the club aims to strengthen its squad for improved results.

The affected players were released by the management of the team after the technical crew meticulously reviewed their performances in the 18 weeks of the 2021/22 season which fell short of expectations.

Four of the players, goalkeeper Tambe Charles, Anas Mohammed, Abubakar Adeyemi and Anene Francis, have been with the team for more than two seasons, while the remaining players are among those recruited before the commencement of the ongoing season.

Striker Wasiu Alalade had a brief spell with NPFL champions Akwa United before joing 3SC while Kolawole Daniel went AWOL on his contract with Vandrezzer FC before joing the Ibadan side.
