Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) champions, Akwa United are set to unveil Sunshine Stars’ Deji Ayeni as the club’s new head coach this afternoon.
Ayeni will replace title-winning coach Kennedy Boboye in the Promise Keeper’s dugout after his resignation in February.
Deputy Head Coach Ali Jolomi has been in charge of the team since the dismissal of Boboye and will now step aside for the new man.
The unveiling of Deji Ayeni will take place this afternoon (Thursday 24th) at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium by 1pm.
Ayeni has already informed Sunshine Stars of his desire to join the NPFL champions and will take charge of his first training session this afternoon.
