U-20 TotalEnergies AFCON – CAF have announced that the media accreditation window for the Africa Cup of Nations Egypt 2023 is now open.

As released by CAF on their official website, the accreditation process will close on Friday, 20 January 2023.

The qualified countries for the U-20 TotalEnergies AFCON are hosts Egypt, Tunisia, Nigeria, Benin, Senegal, The Gambia, Uganda, South Sudan, Mozambique, Zambia, Central African Republic and Congo.

Final tournament of the U-20 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations will take place from 19 February to 11 March 2023 in Egypt in the cities of Cairo, Alexandria and Ismailia.

12 teams will feature in the finals including hosts Egypt, Mozambique, Senegal, Nigeria, Uganda, CAR, South Sudan, Congo, Gambia, Tunisia, Benin and Zambia.

Media representatives interested in covering the tournament can apply for accreditation via the CAF Media Channel.

Access to the CAF Media Channel does not guarantee accreditation. All applications will be subject to confirmation. Successful applicants will be informed and receive further information in due course.

Furthermore, Journalists are advised that international applicants are responsible for securing their own visas to Egypt.

The groups for the TotalEnergies U-20 Africa Cup of Nations 2023 were confirmed last week following the draw conducted in Cairo, Egypt.

As scheduled, the TotalEnergies Egypt 2023 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations will take place from 19 February to 11 March 2023.

The host cities are Cairo (Group A), Ismailia (Group B) and Alexandria (Group C).

As expected, the twelve-nation tournament will begin with a mouth-watering opening game between hosts Egypt and Mozambique on Sunday 19 February 2023.

Groups and venues :

Group A – Cairo International Stadium: Egypt, Mozambique, Senegal, Nigeria
For Group B – Suez Canal Stadium: Uganda, Central African Republic, South Sudan, Congo
Finally for Group C – Alexandria Stadium: Gambia, Tunisia, Benin, Zambia.
