Bendel Insurance midfielder, Tamara Ezekiel has joined Al Naft Sports Club of Iraq
The ex-Kano Pillars and Kwara United player becomes the second key player to have left Insurance this season after Imade exited earlier in the season.
The 23-year-old midfielder, joined Bendel Insurance last summer, having previously plied his trade with reputable Nigerian clubs such as Shooting Stars, Kano Pillars, and Kwara United, and quickly made an impact with over 17 appearances during the current campaign.
His performances garnered attention, leading to the opportunity to play abroad.
Ezekiel is poised to embark on a new chapter in his football journey with Al Naft Sports Club in Iraq.
The deal has been successfully negotiated and finalized, with the player set to undergo medical examinations in Iraq in the coming days.
Tamara played a pivotal role in Bendel Insurance’s qualification for the second round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
While the transfer fee remains undisclosed, it’s clear that Al Naft SC saw immense potential in Tamara, who only joined Bendel Insurance at the start of the 2023–24 season.
His six-month stint with Bendel Insurance served as a stepping stone, and his standout performances so far caught the attention of Al Naft SC.
