Nigeria Premier Football League matchday-eight review

Five key players whose contracts expire at the end of the season are set to leave Remo Stars before the start of the 2024/2025 NPFL season. The players are Dayo Ojo, Adams Olamilekan, Charles Tambe, Franck Mawuena, and Aniekem Okon.

According to reports, veteran midfielder Dayo Ojo is being pursued by Shooting Stars, while Remo Stars are searching for a replacement for the experienced player. The team has set its sights on free agent Michael Ibe, who is expected to fill the void left by Ojo’s departure.

This mass exodus may be a significant blow to Remo Stars, who finished second in the NPFL last season, 5 points behind league winners Enugu International. The team’s management is working hard to strengthen the squad ahead of the new season, with many top names linked to the club.

The NPFL is one of the most competitive leagues in Africa, and Remo Stars will need to act quickly to replace these players if they want to remain competitive. In other news, Enyimba and Remo Stars are battling for the signature of Michael Ibe, who is highly rated in the NPFL.

Ibe’s impressive performances last season have made him a hot commodity in the NPFL transfer market. The NPFL is expected to be highly competitive next season, with teams like Enyimba, Remo Stars, and Rangers strengthening their squads. The league is expected to be one of the most exciting in Africa, with some of the best players on the continent on display.
