GTI Asset Management and Trust Limited, strategic partners to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), have confirmed that prize money has been paid to the winners and awardees of the 2023/2024 NPFL season and the President Federation Cup (PFC).
Rangers International FC of Enugu, champions of the 2023/2024 NPFL season, received their prize money of N150 million, while El-Kanemi Warriors FC, winners of the 2024 PFC, received N50 million. Abia Warriors FC, runners-up in the PFC, received N20 million.
In the women’s category, Rivers Angels FC, winners of the PFC, received N25 million, while Naija Ratels FC of Abuja, runners-up, received N10 million. Awardees in the men’s and women’s PFC categories, including Highest Goal Scorer, Most Valuable Player, and Best Goalkeeper, received N1 million each.

The prompt payment of prize money has been commended by the chairmen and CEOs of the award-winning clubs and individuals. Enugu Rangers GM/CEO, Amobi Ezeaku, expressed delight at receiving their club’s prize money, which will assist in preparing for their continental engagement next season.
The payment of prize money is seen as a significant step forward for Nigerian football, with GTI’s commitment to repositioning the Nigeria football ecosystem hailed by stakeholders. The successful completion of the 2023/2024 season and the prompt payment of prize money have raised hopes for a new dawn in Nigerian football.
With the transfer market already underway, Enugu Rangers are busy acquiring fresh legs to fortify their squad ahead of their continental engagement next season. The club’s gaffer, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has praised GTI’s initiative towards restructuring the NPFL.
Meanwhile, Naija Ratels FC Chairman, Allison Ene James, commended the NFF for staging a hitch-free competition and praised GTI for their commitment to repositioning Nigerian football.
