The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) U17 team is gearing up for their European tour, and Assistant Coach Ken Chuku has promised that the team will make Nigeria proud in Spain. The team, comprising 30 players from NPFL champions Rangers International, Remo Stars, Rivers United, Plateau United, and Katsina United, has been training in Abuja for two weeks. “We are working to get the best from the best. Though still learning, but they are all good players, and that’s where our work is, getting the best of them to represent the Nigerian League,” Chuku said.
The team’s European tour is part of the NPFL’s efforts to develop young players and prepare them for international competitions. Chuku promised that the team would do Nigeria proud, saying, “By the time we conclude our training and embark on the European tour, we are going to do Nigeria proud.”
