The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) U17 Youth team is taking a two-week break starting today (Sunday) and will return to training on Sunday, August 18.
After their break, the team will head to Spain for further training and potential opportunities to secure professional contracts with Sevilla.
Assistant Coach Ken Chuku shared these details in an exclusive interview with BSN on Saturday, following their 1-0 victory over Assess Football Academy Abuja.

Chuku noted that the team is nearing peak readiness, having won their last three matches.
“Technically, we are almost ready. As you can see, we get better every day,” Chuku said.
He emphasised the importance of the tour, stating, “This is the future of Nigerian football. The U17, U20, and Super Eagles players in the future will come from these players. We are going to Spain to protect Nigeria’s image and the business part of it, which will benefit NPFL clubs. The income into the purse of the club is the foundation of the initiative.”
