After joining Greek club Panetolikos from Kwara United FC, Afeez Nosiru has sensationally claimed he is eyeing Wilfred Ndidi’s spot in the Super Eagles team.
Tammy Abraham’s look-alike Afeez Nosiru has already made three appearances for the Super Eagles B team and believes his move to Europe will help him push for a first team shirt.
Greek first division side Panetolikos days ago confirmed it has completed the transfer of the 24-year old, a move he describes as a dream come true.
” This move is a dream come true for me because I have for years been craving to play in Europe, ” Afeez told SPORTS BRIEF.
“I am here to establish myself and see what happens in the future.
Another thing I have as a target is for me to enter the main Super Eagles team and replace Ndidi because I know that I can deliver more than him.” he concluded.
The Midfielder was not named in Panetolikos matchday squad for the 1-0 win over Ionikos but will hopefully get his bow soon.
To fulfill his Super Eagles dream, Afeez must consistently deliver top-drawer performances for 7th placed Panetolikos.
That way, he will catch the attention of Super Eagles handlers and get invitation to the team for opportunity to compete with Wilfred Ndidi for the holding midfield role.
