Alex Iwobi delivered a stellar performance for Fulham, scoring twice in their 3-2 defeat to West Ham United at the London Stadium on Tuesday evening.
The Super Eagles midfielder showcased his best form of the season, setting personal records despite the loss.

Iwobi’s two goals took his tally to seven this season, a new high for the 28-year-old in a Premier League campaign.
He also achieved double digits in goal contributions (10+ goals and assists) for the first time in his career, proving his growing impact.
Fulham’s Early Promise Falters
Fulham started brightly, with Iwobi almost providing an early assist when his clever pass found Harry Wilson, whose shot hit the crossbar in the sixth minute.

West Ham, however, made their chances count, with Carlos Soler scoring in the 31st minute.
Just two minutes later, Tomáš Souček doubled the lead, leaving Fulham chasing the game.
Iwobi came close to creating a response, but Raúl Jiménez’s header from his cross also struck the woodwork.
Iwobi Leads the Fightback
In the second half, Iwobi inspired Fulham’s resurgence. In the 51st minute, he fired a stunning long-range strike, assisted by Antonee Robinson, to bring the score to 2-1.

West Ham’s Lucas Paquetá restored the two-goal cushion in the 67th minute, but Iwobi responded again.
In the 78th minute, he latched onto another Robinson assist, scoring his second goal to make it 3-2.

Substituted in the 85th minute, Iwobi’s performance stood out. He recorded 61 touches, five key passes, and an impressive 81% pass accuracy.

Though Fulham fell short, Iwobi’s brace and overall display highlighted his importance to the team and his rising profile in the Premier League.
His form this season continues to make him one of Fulham’s most influential players.
