Aniekpeno Udoh netted his second league goal of the season and 6th goal in all competition in KuPS 3-0 over RoPS on matchday 13 of the Finnish Veikkausliiga at the Savon Sanomat Areena.
The Nigerian bully striker started the game from the bench and was introduced in 76th minute, replacing Rangel, who got the first goal of the match in 30th minute, the lead was however doubled 3 minutes later by fellow Nigerian and former Wikki Tourist winger, Usman Sale.
Udoh needed just 8 minutes to get on the score sheet and make it 3 nill for KuPS, breaking his one-month goal drought.
Aniekpeno Udoh, 23, last got on the score sheet on the 22th of July 2020, and has been restricted to cameo appearances, starting 1 game with 7 substitute appearances since then.
So far, he has featured in 20 games, scoring 6 goals, and would be hoping to get more playing time to improve his record, having scored 18 goals in 25 games for Ljungskile SK in the Sweedish Ettan Sodra last season.
Defending Champions of Veikkausliiga 2019, Kuopion Palloseura are currently 2nd on the log with 28 points, chasing Helsinki who are top with 30 points, KuPS will hope Udoh bangs in another goal when they visit FC Lahti for the matchday 14 clash on the 14th of September.
