Anthony Joshua to fight Tyson Fury in Saudi Arabia

Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury

Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua negotiations is reportedly underway with tentative talks over staging the bout in Saudi Arabia behind-closed-doors.

The potential undisputed heavyweight world title fight is regarded as one of the most anticipated showdowns by most boxing fans but seemed unlikely to take place next.

Anthony Joshua’s next fight is supposed to be against Kubrat Pulev who is a mandatory challenger while Tyson Fury owes Deontay Wilder a rematch and these two matches stand in the way, however, representatives of both fighters are considering their options.

According to ESPN, Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn is in talks with MTK Global – Tyson Fury’s Advisors who are negotiating on behalf of his co-promoters Bob Arum and Frank Warren.

Both parties are also considering a move to pay Deontay Wilder to step aside if the amount of money involved is large enough.

Eddie Hearn said: “We’re talking to MTK about where that fight would take place.

“At the moment, the main focus for everybody [is] the contractual situations.

“The conversations between myself and MTK are that we’ve had an approach.

“The only discussions at the moment are where this fight takes place – and we don’t even know when this fight could take place…

“We’re certainly open to have discussions about the possibility of this happening this year or in the next fight”

“There’s more chance at the moment that the bigger money could come next year because we don’t even know if we can do live crowds in November, December,” Hearn told ESPN.

The Fury vs Joshua match might be held in Saudi Arabia, according to reports.
