'Bayelsa Queens can win the league' - Charity Reuben

Bayelsa Queens forward, Charity Reuben says teamwork and good performance will help her side win the 2020/2021 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL Premiership.

The former BIIK Kazygurt of Kazakhstan striker said the players and coach Moses Aduku are determined to represent Nigeria at the inaugural Total Women’s CAF Champions League.

“I believe that my team, Bayelsa Queens are going to top this league based on the performance that I am seeing and our teamwork,” Reuben told www.kick442.com.

God will help us top the league because that is one of our prayers to be the first in the league which will qualify us for the 2021 CAF Champions League. I pray that God will help us. We need to work hard for the next game.”

The 2017-2018 NWFL Premiership top goal scorer opened her goal account when Bayelsa Queens defeated FC Robo Queens 1-0 in their Week three tie.
She expressed her delight in scoring her first league goal of the season.

“I am so happy for scoring my first goal of the season and also making my team proud. For the victory, I also thank God,” Charity Reuben said.

Bayelsa Queens maintained their perfect start to the 2021 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership season on Thursday with a victory over FC Robo Queens.

2020 Flying Officers Cup Champions opened their campaign with a 2-1 win over Sunshine Queens before another 1-2 away victory against Nasarawa Amazons as they currently occupied the top position on the 2021 NWFL Premiership table with nine maximum points from three games.

They will welcome Confluence Queens in their next game on January 6, 2021.
