Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has confirmed that Jadon Sancho will stay at the German club next season.
Sancho is Manchester United’s top transfer target this summer and is valued at £108 million.
The young English winger has travelled with the Dortmund squad for their pre-season training camp in the Swiss spa town of Bad Ragaz.
Dortmund previously indicated they wanted a deal completed by the time they headed out for that camp to give them sufficient time to purchase a replacement, and Zorc has now appeared to confirm that Sancho will be staying at the club for the 2020/21 campaign.
“We plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final. I think that answers all our questions,” Zorc told reporters on Monday.

He added: “Last summer, we adjusted Jadon’s salary to match the development of his performances. So in context, we had already extended his contract until 2023 back then.”
United last week says Dortmund’s £108 million valuations for the player they bought for £7.5 million from Manchester City last in 2018 is ‘unrealistic’ under the current coronavirus conditions which has affected the transfer market.
The Premier League side will look at other options with Bayern Munich French winger Kingsley Coman rumoured to be a loan target.
