Saka has become one of Mikel Arteta’s trusted men since the arrival of the Spaniard in December 2019 and has been integral in the way Arsenal plays, with his versatility and adaptation making it easy for Arteta to play him in any position.
The young Nigerian has just over a year left on his contract, with Arteta facing uncertainties over the future of club captain, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is also going into the final year of his contract at Arsenal.
The Gunners have endured a difficult season so far, with only one win in three games since the restart of the Premier League, dropping to tenth in the table with Champions League qualification seemingly out of sight.
Saka has made 33 appearances for the Gunners this season (21 in the Premier League, 6 in the Europa League, 4 in the FA Cup and 2 in the EFL Cup). He has been involved in 13 goals, 3 goals and 10 assists.
