CAF appoints referee for epic Nigeria vs Ghana CHAN decider

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Moroccan referee Hamza El Fariq to officiate the crucial second-leg 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier between Nigeria and Ghana.

CAF official El Fariq will be assisted by Moroccan officials Abdessamad Abertoune (first assistant), Zakaria Bouchtaoui (second assistant), and Hicham Temsamani (fourth official), as reported by The Independent Mirror.

Sierra Leone’s Prince Kai Saquee will serve as the match commissioner, while Miboti Moise from the Democratic Republic of Congo will handle the referee assessor duties.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo this Saturday. The first leg in Ghana ended in a 0-0 draw, with the aggregate winner securing a spot at CHAN 2024.
