El-Kanemi Warriors will play their 2024/25 CAF Confederation Cup matches at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
This announcement was made by the Minister of Sports Development, John Enoh, during a media parley with sports writers in Abuja. The Borno State government has formally communicated that the 2024 President Federation Cup champions will use the Moshood Abiola Stadium as their home ground for the CAF interclub competition.
El-Kanemi Warriors, who recently gained promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League and won the President Federation Cup by defeating Abia Warriors, are set to face Dadje FC of Benin Republic in the first preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup. The matches are scheduled between September 13-15 for the first leg and September 20-22 for the second leg.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) conducted the draw for the Preliminary Stages of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup 2024/25 season on July 11 at its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. A total of 52 clubs from 41 African countries participated in the draw. The competition is currently held by Egyptian giants Zamalek SC, who claimed the title for the second time last season.
The Preliminary Stages are divided into two rounds. The 1st Preliminary Round involves 40 matches, with the first legs taking place between August 16-18 and the return legs between August 23-25, 2024. The 2nd Preliminary Round will follow between September 13-15 for the first legs, and the return legs between September 20-22, 2024, to determine the 16 clubs that will advance to the Group Stages of the competition.
