Coach Bala Mohammed has revealed he plans to speak with Nigerian forward Odion Ighalo to boost his confidence ahead of the FIFA Club World Cup final match vs Real Madrid.
Coach Bala Mohammed told Sports Brief Nigeria that Al Hilal forward Odion Ighalo is like a son to him and will score in the Final match on Saturday evening.
Odion Ighalo’s Al Hilal defeated Flamengo in the Semi-final while UEFA representatives Real Madrid shoved aside Egypt’s Al Ahly 4-1 on Wednesday.
”I watched the semi-final game against Flamengo, and I was impressed with Ighalo’s game, ” Coach Bala said as per SPORTS BRIEF.” I am happy that his club are now in the final and the best thing is for him to score against Real Madrid. ” I know he will (score) because he always delivers when you need him, and I will also speak with him and boost his morale because he is like a son to me.’ the Niger Tornadoes FC of Nigeria Head Coach said.
Ighalo has not scored a goal at this year’s tournament but could still be selected to lead Al Hilal’s attack vs Real Madrid.
Whereas Ighalo and Asian representatives Al Hilal will be gunning for a first club world cup title, Madrid will have sights on a 5th World Club Cup title.
The final match will take place on Saturday Febuary 11, 2023 at the Prince Moulay Abdullay Stadium, Morroco.
