In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Chukwueze revealed his efforts to persuade Osimhen to come to Milan, acknowledging the challenges but expressing his desire to play alongside him.

“I would like to close my eyes, open them again, and see him here at Milan,” Chukwueze said. “I always say to him, ‘Are you sure you don’t want to come?’”
Chukwueze’s move to AC Milan was partly influenced by Osimhen’s recommendation, as the Nigerian forward had previously encouraged Chukwueze to join the Serie A giants. Chukwueze also praised Milan fans and Osimhen’s support in helping him settle into his new club.
Looking ahead, Chukwueze is optimistic about the upcoming season, promising fans they will see a “new Samu” after his impressive preseason performances, which include assists against Manchester City and a winning goal against Real Madrid.
