Kwara United have completed the signing of former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
Aiyenugba previously played in the Israeli Premier League for Hapoel Afula and is returning to the Nigeria Professional Football League after thirteen years in Europe.
The 36-year old played a crucial role during Enyimba’s CAF Champions League successes of 2003 and 2004 and made over 17 international appearances with the Super Eagles.
“Kwara is my home and I am here to give my best to Kwara United and also sports loving people who are in this state,” Aiyenugba told Kwara United’s media team.
Aiyenugba will provide more competition to Abdullahi Biffo’s Kwara United in the goalkeeping department which already has Emmanuel Iwu and Abdulateef Ishola.
In a related development, midfielder Afeez Nosiri has agreed to rejoin Kwara United from Niger Tornadoes after one season with the Minna-based club in the Nigeria National League, NNL, while Sunshine Stars midfielder Jide Fatokun will also link up with the club next season.
