Super Eagles midfielder Fisayo Dele-Bashiru has praised Lazio’s coach Marco Baroni for playing a key role in his improvement since joining the club last summer.

Dele-Bashiru, who arrived on a season-long loan from Turkish club Hatayspor, has made a strong impact in Serie A, contributing four goals and two assists in 14 appearances so far this season.

His recent goal in Lazio’s 1-1 draw against Atalanta highlighted his growing influence, marking his fifth start in the league this term.

In a recent interview, Dele-Bashiru discussed how Baroni has helped him focus on advancing the ball more effectively. He explained how the coaching staff has worked with him to improve his positioning and decision-making when in possession.

“Baroni and the team help me a lot,” he shared with Lazio TV. “The main thing he emphasizes is being more positive with the ball, positioning my body better, and looking to go forward more. I’m trying to bring these ideas into my game.”

With his continued development, Bashiru has shown his potential as a key player for Lazio, and the club could consider making his deal permanent if he maintains this upward trajectory.
