Former Arsenal supporter and popular Nigeria Disk Jockey, Florence Ifeoluwa Cuppy Otedola (DJ Cuppy) posted earlier today that she will join Manchester United if Odion Ighalo scores against Norwich City in the English FA Cup.
DJ Cuppy announced on her twitter handle on Sunday, June 20, following Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat at the Amex to relegation-threatened Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday, that she is no longer a Gunner.
Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal had played two matches since the restart of the English Premier League, losing 3-0 to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday, June 17, before being beaten by a late Neal Maupay’s 95th minutes goal.
Cuppy has been in search of a new club to support after ending her six years affiliation with Arsenal.
It appears Cuppy has finally decided to join Manchester United, with Ighalo scoring his fifth goal in the 51st minutes against Norwich.
Ighalo’s goal was cancelled by Todd Cantwell in the 75th minutes, but captain Harry Maguire scored the winner in the 118 minutes after extra time to send United through to the semi-finals.
DJ Cuppy has over 1.9 million twitter followers and will be expected to keep to her promise of supporting the Red Devils after Ighalo granted her wish.
