Eagles round-up: Etebo opens Getafe goal account vs Eibar; Aina subbed on as Parma hold Torino

Super Eagles midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo scored his first goal for Spanish La Liga side, Getafe in their 1-1 home draw against Eibar on Saturday.

Etebo, who is on loan at Getafe from English Championship side, Stoke City, gave the home side the lead in the 30th minutes of the game.

But Charles equalised to make it 1-1 for Eibar on the stroke of half time.

Etebo, on his ninth appearances in the Spanish La Santander for Getafe on Saturday, was replaced on 69 minutes for Jason.

Gefafe are now winless in their last three games since La Liga returned with two draws and one defeat.

A win for Getafe – who are now fifth on 48 points would have seen them move ahead of Atletico Madrid in fourth position.

Elsewhere in the Italian Serie A which made a return on Saturday, Super Eagles right-back Ola Aina was introduced in the second half in Torino’s 1-1 home draw against Parma.

Torino who were looking for a first win since January took the lead in the 15th minutes through former Cameroonian International Nicolas N’Koulou.

In the 31st minutes, Parma were back on level terms thanks to Juraj Kucka.

Torino had the chance to restore the lead but Andrea Belotti missed from the penalty spot in the 48th minutes of the game.

Aina who made his 21st appearances in the Serie A this season for Torino against Parma, was replaced by Alex Berenguer in the 68th minutes.

Following Saturday’s draw, Torino have now gone eight straight games without a win – seven defeats and one draw.

They are in 15th position on 28 points in the Italian Serie A table.
