Vandrezzer FC on Sunday, February 12, 2023 came from behind to draw 1-1 with visiting Rovers FC in a preseason friendly match at the new Eket Stadium.
In their second official game at their new ground in front of the supporters in the oil rich Eket, the Lions of Naija once again failed to win to the frustration of head coach, Niambele Adamu Mohammed.
Former Akwa United and Abia Warriors forward Utibe Archibong put the visitors in front from the near post in the 35th minute before Vandrezzer FC were awarded a penalty five minutes later.
Samuel Edoho, despite missing his first penalty for the Lions here on Wednesday against Cynosure FC, stepped up to level the scores for the Lions.
Vandrezzer FC and coach Niambele has failed to win any of the four matches under the Ivorian head coach since taking over in December, 2022.
With three draws (FC ONE Roackets 1-1; Cynosure FC 2-2 and Rovers FC 1-1) and a defeat (Ibom Youth FC 1-1) in the preseason, Niambele is under early pressure to get his team firing.
Vandrezzer FC have scored seven times and conceded eight during this period, with four of the eight goals scored from the penalty spot.
However, the former Ivory Coast international recorded a 2-3 victory in a behind-closed-door game against Nordic Football Academy on February 1.
With the new Nigeria National League (NNL) season billed to commence on March 3, 2023, Coach Niambele has less than two weeks to get Vandrezzer FC firing ahead of the new season.
