The WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers is underway and Nigerian champions Edo Queens have won their opening game.
Nigeria’s Edo Queens began their campaign in the WAFU B region of the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers with an impressive 5-0 victory on Sunday evening, according to BSNSports.com.ng.
In a closely contested first half, Emem Essien gave Edo Queens the lead in the 35th minute, followed by a penalty goal from Suliat Abideen in the 45th minute to make it 2-0.

The Nigerian side showcased a dominant performance in the second half, adding three more goals to secure a comprehensive 5-0 win.
This victory placed Edo Queens at the top of the table, following Hasaacas Ladies’ goalless draw with Etincelles in their first group match.
