Super Eagles winger Moses Simon has tendered a farewell message to his former club Levante after signing a 4-year deal with French Ligue 1 side Nantes.

The Nigerian international while celebrating his new deal yesterday disclosed on his twitter handle thank the Levante for the love and acceptance he received during his time with the Spanish side.

“I want to use this opportunity to say goodbye to everybody at Levante, the fans, technical crew, management and my teammates for the love and acceptance you guys will always be in my heart”.

“To my new family, FC Nantes, cheers to more better things to come by the grace of God,” Simon tweeted.

Simon had an impressive season on loan with Christian Gourcuff’s Nantes in the just-concluded French Ligue 1 season.

He was named the Canary player of the season with 9 goals and 8 assists.

The Super Eagles forward have been given another opportunity to continue his impressive performances in France when the league resume.

Nantes’ official website describes Moses as “quick and very strong technically” and “a real offensive solution” for Nantes coach Christian Gourcuff.

He was part of Nigeria’s squad that finished third in last year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt but was not included in the 2018 World Cup squad due to injury.

Nantes were 13th in the table when the French season was declared over in April because of the coronavirus pandemic.
