Enyimba FC midfielders get U20 National team call-up

Coach Ladan Bosso and Christopher Danjuma have released the Flying Eagles and Falconets provisional list for the 13th edition of the All African Games schedule held in Ghana from 8th to 23rd March.

Enyimba FC midfield dynamo Daniel Daga and captain Daniel Bameyi have been recalled by the Flying Eagles for next month’s All-Africa Games in Ghana.

Other players making a return to the U20s include goalkeeper Nathaniel Nwosu, Benjamin Frederick, and Kehinde Ibrahim.

Both Daniel Daga and Izuogu Chibueze who plays for Enyimba FC of Aba in the NPFL have been called up to the Flying Eagles squad. The pair who have been impressive for the club this season are set to resume in the Flying Eagles camp today at Gwarinpa Estate ahead of the Africa Games in Ghana.

Head Coach Isah Ladan Bosso has invited a total of 30 players to the Flying Eagles’ camp, from which a final list will be drawn to fly Nigeria’s flag at the men’s football event, with Nigeria aiming to go one step better after winning the silver medals at the last edition of the Games in Rabat, Morocco in 2019.

Bosso led the U20 boys to the quarter-finals of last year’s FIFA U20 World Cup finals in Argentina.

The Flying Eagles will play Uganda, South Sudan, Senegal, and Tunisia in that order in the group stage.

Nigeria is aiming to go one step better after winning the silver medal at the last edition of the Games in Rabat, Morocco in 2019.
