Football fans in Akwa Ibom State were thrilled with goals in Governor’s Cup matches played on Wednesday, October 4, across three venues.
Twenty-three goals were scored in nine matches played across the three Senatorial Districts in Akwa Ibom State.
The match between, Esit Eket vs Eastern Obolo produced the highest number of goals (6) on Wednesday, October 4, while Ikot Ekpene ruthlessly dispatched Ika 4-0 for the biggest win margin of the day.
At all three match venues, football fans gathered in large number, enjoying the games and celebrating the goals. Only two matches failed to produce a goal.
