Nigeria’s Super Eagles remained fixed in the 34th spot of the latest FIFA World Rankings released this month.
Gernot Rohr’s led side won their opening two 2022 World Cup qualifying matches against Liberia and Cape Verde in September but remains unmoved from last month’s ranking.
The super Eagles are also unchanged in the fifth position on the African continent, one place behind Morocco who fell to 33rd in the world. Senegal, up to 20th in the world, remains Africa’s top national side, the Teranga Lions are followed by the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia, now ranked 25th in the world while African champions Algeria are third on the continent and 30th in the world.
Belgium retains their spot as the top-ranked football nation in the world followed by Brazil in 2nd, while England, France and Italy are in third, fourth and fifth respectively and round up the top five ranked nations in the world.
