Former Nigerian International Powers free Medical Services In Lagos

Since October 1, Indigent Nigerians in Ajegunle, Lagos State have been receiving Free Medical Services as powered by Former Nigerian International , Jonathan Akpoborie .

Ajegunle Is on the Lagos mainland and is considered home of ‘ not too well to do ‘ persons but is blessed with loads of talents in comedy, football and music.

Former Stuggart FC of Germany Forward, Akpoborie was raised in Ajegunle and so has reached out to solve the medical challenges of his people.

The free medical procedures, AthleticNg gathered, begins from 8am at the Ajeromi Cardoso Medical Center In Ajegunle and has been on since October 1, with October 13th fixed as the closing date.

This is not the first time Akpoborie is sponsoring this reach-out, last year, same procedure was enjoyed by beneficiaries In Ozoro, Delta State.

Akpoborie was a member of the Nigerian team that won the first FIFA U-16 Championship in 1985, scoring in the final against West Germany.

He also played for the Flying Eagles at the 1987 FIFA World Youth Championship in Chile two years later.

Currently, Akpoborie is a Businessman and also owns a player agency. In 2022, he expressed interest to run for the office of President of the Nigeria Football Federation – NFF, but never made a step-in to the election ring that was eventually won by Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau in Benin City, Edo State.
