Francis Uzoho joins APOEL Nicosia

Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has joined Cypriot club APOEL Nicosia from Deportivo La Coruna on a three-year deal.

Uzoho secured a move to the club following two successful loan spells at Cypriot clubs Anorthosis Famagusta and Omonia.

Announcing the deal, Uzoho posted on Instagram saying: “Happy to start a new journey today with this great club, hope to enjoy great success along the way.”

Apoel released a statement announcing the capture of the Nigerian international.

“The company APOEL FOOTBALL (PUBLIC) LTD announces the conclusion of an agreement with Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña for the acquisition of Francis Odinaka Uzoho.

“The cooperation between APOEL and Uzoho will last for three years until May 2023.”

With his new permanent deal, the 21-year-old will now remain in Cyprus with APOEL who has won 28 Cyprus league titles.
