Frank Onyeka names the toughest Premier league teams

Nigeria Super Eagles and Brentford FC midfielder Frank Onyeka has named the toughest teams to play against in the English Premier League.

Having joined Brentford FC from Denmark based Midtjylland, Onyeka has raked in 41 English Premier League appearances.

For the combative midfielder, the toughest teams to face are Manchester City and Arsenal. According to him, this teams make you run all through the game.

“It’s the Premier League, every team is hard to play against, but Arsenal and Manchester City, in particular, are the toughest teams; they make you run all through,” Onyeka told Brila FM.

“The Premier League is different in a lot of ways from the Danish League. English football is fast, the pitch and the players are better and stronger.

“But, don’t get me wrong. The Danish league is also good, strong, and physical.” he said.

The midfielder also spoke of the top drawer performances which helped Brentford finish in 9th place at the end of the 2022/2023 season.

This included home and away victories vs champions Manchester City, the only team in the division to achieve that feat vs Guardiola’s men in the just concluded season.

With the season done in Europe, Onyeka will turn attention to the Nigeria national team.

The midfielder is expected to make Jose Peseiro’s squad for the AFCON qualifiers Vs Sierra Leone on June 18, 2023.
