Free-agent Dwight Howard will sign with the Philadelphia 76ers after failing to reach a contract term with the Los Angeles Lakers.
Howard will join Doc Rivers in Philly after he agreed to a 1-year deal worth $2.6 million.
Howard had a bounce-back campaign with the Lakers in 2019-20 and established himself as a key rotation piece on an obvious contender. The Lakers won the 2020 NBA Championship and his first ring in his career in the NBA.
Prior to 2019-20, Dwight Howard had bounced around between the Washington Wizards, Charlotte Hornets, and Atalanta Hawks.
