Heartland FC has broken another NPFL club record for most signing in a transfer window by a single club with the signing of 30 new players.

Heartland FC of Owerri has made a significant statement of intent with the signing of 30 new players, increasing names in the squad list to 62 ahead of  the upcoming NPFL season.

Heartland FC replaced newly promoted to the NPFL Remo Stars feeders team, Beyond Limits who will be competing again in the Nigerian second-tier league with the Amunike boys competing in the top-flight league.

The new signings include Elvis Ori and Kelvin Ogunga from Bayelsa United, Udochukwu Anumudu from Abia Warriors, and Louis Umoh Anthony from Heartland Feeders.

Other notable additions include Alex Godwin from Niger Tornadoes, Julius Namitanie, Chukwudi Agor, Olanrewaju Molade, and Nnemeka Nkwo.

Under the leadership of former Golden Eagles captain, Emmanuel Amunike, Heartland FC is poised to compete against the top teams in the league.

Their opening fixture against Enyimba promises to be an exciting encounter, and fans are eagerly anticipating the start of the season.

Heartland FC face off against Sunshine Stars of Akure last season.

With a squad of 62 players, including four foreigners, Heartland FC has a good balance of youth and experience.

Their market value is yet to be determined, but with the quality of players at their disposal, they are expected to be one of the top contenders for the NPFL title.

Heartland will Kickstart the new season this weekend with a trip to Aba to face NPFL giants Enyimba in what promises to be a brutal fight of the elephants.
