Sporting director of Shanghai Shenhua, Zhou Jun, parent club of Nigeria striker, Odion Ighalo, says the striker suits Manchester United and the Premier League outfit should make his loan spell permanent.

Ighalo’s loan spell at Old Trafford ends on May 30th, and the striker may return to Shanghai Shenhua for the new Chinese Super League season billed to begin in June if Manchester United do not to get him on a permanent basis.

“Realistically, Ighalo suits Manchester United. But many thing are now uncertain due to Covid-19. Would Manchester United be willing to spend? Would their bid reach our expectation?”, Jun was quoted by m.ttplus.cn.

Shanghai Shenhua has placed a £20 million price tag on the former Watford marksman and the club believes the 30-year-old is ideal for the Red Devils.

United, on the other hand, are willing to keep Ighalo, but the £20m fee reportedly demanded by Shanghai Shenhua could be a hindrance.

The 2019 Afcon top scorer has put up eye-catching displays since joining moving to Old Trafford in on a six-month loan deal in January on a dramatic transfer deadline, netting four times in eight games in the Premier League.
