International Women’s Day: Nimrod tasks women’s leadership roles in nation-building

International Women’s Day – The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod has urged the womenfolk in the volleyball circle to take up leadership positions in their chosen fields for the benefit of the game.

Nimrod stated this in his speech at the 2023 International Women’s Day Celebration in Kaduna on Wednesday.

He hinted that the National women’s team has always made the nation proud at International Championships.

Nimrod said, “The idea is to celebrate the effort of notable women in the Nigeria Volleyball community for their contributions. I am urging women to take up leadership roles in their ministries, Local and State Governments as well as in the private sector.

“If women get opportunities, I am optimistic they will make a huge difference because of their nature”.

Nimrod said the Comptroller of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) in Imo, Mrs Nkechi Ezugwu, who also doubles as the Vice President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation is a good example of women making an impact in leadership.

He said, “I am proud to say that the 2nd Vice President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Mrs Nkechi Ezugwu is an example of women who are using their office for the betterment of the game.

“The Controller of Immigration should be a role model to other women in volleyball”, he added.
