Nigerian Footballers, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey were in action as Fulham FC beat Sheffield United FC 3-1 in the English Premier League on Saturday, October 7.
Whereas, Midfielder, Alex Iwobi was named in the starting XI and lasted 78 minutes on the turf , Calvin Bassey came on as a substitute for the Cottagers.
In the match,Fulham recovered from an unfortunate equaliser to see out a comfortable 3-1 victory.
A drab opening half gave way for a hugely entertaining second half. Fulham FC opened the scoring just eight minutes after the restart.
De Cordova-Reid’s opener was cancelled out by Antonee Robinson’s own-goal 15 minutes later, as Sheffield United got themselves back on level terms to fan their hopes of a rare point .
