Jamilu Collins features in Paderborn’s heavy home defeat to Dortmund

Super Eagles left-back, Jamilu Collins was in action for struggling Paderborn who were thrashed 6-1 at home by Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga on sunday, The Athletic NG reports.

Collins played the full 90 minutes for Paderborn.

After a goalless first half, Dortmund went on rampage in the second half with a hat-trick from England International winger Jadon Sancho and a goal each from Thorgan Hazard, Achraf Hakimi and Marcel Schmelzer.

Paderborn’s goal was scored by Uwe Huenemeier who scored from the spot on 72 minutes.

Jamilu Collins are heading for the relegation with Paderborn are now winless in their last 10 games, losing six and drawing four.

The defeat leaves Paderborn rocked bottom in 18th position on 19 points while Dortmund remain in second position on 60 points, seven points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayern Munich.

In the other game that was played on Sunday, Nigeria International Anthony Ujah was in action for Union Berlin who lost 4-1 to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Taiwo Awoniyi’s Mainz 05 were also beaten at home by Hoffeinhem.
