Kabiru Dogo sends message to Nasarawa United fans after NPFL home loss to El-Kanemi Warriors

Dogo - Nasarawa
Nasarawa United head coach Kabiru Dogo has taken full responsibility for his team’s dramatic 4-3 loss to visiting El-Kanemi Warriors in a thrilling matchday three clash of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. Despite a hat-trick from Anas Yusuf, the Solid Miners were unable to hold onto their lead at the Lafia City Stadium, as El-Kanemi Warriors staged a remarkable comeback.

Reflecting on the defeat, Dogo expressed his disappointment but acknowledged that football can be unpredictable. “It’s actually not what we planned for today, especially going by our recent results, both home and away. But this is football, you can’t predict what will happen next,” Dogo told reporters. “We accept the defeat, but will certainly bounce back.”

Dogo praised El-Kanemi Warriors for their performance but remained optimistic about Nasarawa United’s prospects. “I congratulate El-Kanemi Warriors on their win today. Tomorrow could be our own turn to win away. We take responsibility for the defeat and will turn things around.”

The Nasarawa United coach reassured fans, highlighting the progress his team has made. “The boys are showing both character and improvement in each passing game. With time, I believe we will get things right.”

In a message to the club’s supporters, Dogo urged them to stay positive and continue backing the team. “I want to plead with our loyal supporters and fans never to give up on us. We will bounce back stronger and better.”

Looking ahead, Dogo expressed confidence in his team’s ability to secure a win in their upcoming away fixture against Ikorodu City FC on Saturday, 28th September 2024. “In our next game against Ikorodu City in Lagos, we can get a win there. Never rely on today’s result to judge our performance; we are still a work in progress.”

The Solid Miners will be hoping to turn their fortunes around as they travel to Lagos for their next encounter.
