Ademola Lookman bagged a brace to lead Atalanta past AC Milan who had compatriot Samuel Chukwueze in action 3-2 in a thrilling Serie A clash at the Gewiss Stadium on Saturday night.

Nigeria’s Ademola Lookman scored the opening goal in the 38th minute of the Serie A match.

The winger received a Teun Koopmeiners’ cross , cut inside between defenders before firing a shot that took a deflection off  Nigerian-blood Fikayo Tomori on its way into the net.

AC Milan fought-back just before the halftime break through frenchman, Olivier Giroud in first half stoppage time.

Atalanta restored their advantage 10 minutes after the break when Lookman graced the roof of the net from six yards after he awell worked pass by Charles De Ketelaere.

The Super Eagle has now scored six goals and provided two assists in 16 league appearances for La Dea this season.

He was replaced by Aleksey Miranchuk with a tension-soaked finale still to come.

Former Real Madrid forward, Luka Jovic equalised for AC Milan in the 80th minute but Atalanta kept the fight and got due reward late in the game.

Luis Muriel netted the winning goal deep into stoppage time to seal a 3-2 win over AC Milan, a victory that gave the home crowd enough cheer and confidence for Lookman and his teammates as they push further up the log In Italy.

For Samuel Chukwueze , it was another game to forget in Milan clolours as he was taken enough early in the second half.

With the result, third placed AC Milan lose further ground on the top-two, Inter Milan and Juventus, while Atalanta move up to seventh place with 23 points from 15 matches.
