MFM FC appoints Olalekan Gabriel interim head coach

Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL, side Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM FC, has confirmed the appointment of Olalekan Gabriel as the club interim head coach.

His appointment came few weeks after the club board has asked Tony Bolus to step aside as the Club Head coach after MFM FC were defeated by Heartland FC 2-1 in the NPFL matchday 9 fixture at the Agege Township Stadium, Lagos.

Having struggled to grind out a remarkable result with their 2-0 home win over struggling Adamawa United on Sunday, the club management decided to confirm the ex-Shooting Stars, Sharks FC, Union Bank and Gombe United player as the club interim new head coach on a short term basis.

Before his appointment as the caretaker coach of the Olukoya Boys, Olalekan has been with MFM FC for over a decade after he retired from active football.

He also served as assistant coach under Fidelis Ilechukwu and Tony Bolus.

Olalekan Gabriel will be hoping to gain a positive result for his team this mid-week when MFM FC travel away from home to take on Katsina United in the 2020/2021 NPFL matchday 12 fixture at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, Katsina on Wednesday.
