Mikel open to playing in Egyptian League

Former Super Eagles midfielder John Obi Mikel says he is open to playing in the Egyptian Premier League, The Athletic NG reports.

With his future yet to be decided, Mikel is not ruling out a potential move to the Egyptian Premier League.

“I never ruled anything out,” Mikel Told ON Sports.

“My goal is to continue playing football, and I hope I will have the opportunity, I do not reject any offers made to me, but rather study them well until I make the right decision.”

Mikel is a free agent after leaving Turkish Super Lig outfit Trabzonspor in March.

The midfielder’s contract was terminated following his protest against the continuation of the league despite the spread of Coronavirus.

The 33-year-old former Nigeria international has been linked with a move to Brazilian clubs, Botafogo and Internacional.

With his future yet to be decided, Mikel is not ruling out a potential move to the Egyptian Premier League.
