Alessandro Buongiorno, Napoli’s latest acquisition, has praised Victor Osimhen as the most challenging opponent he’s faced in Serie A. The 25-year-old defender, who joined Napoli for €35m from Torino, revealed this at his unveiling ceremony.

“Victor (Osimhen) was definitely tough. We all know about his speed, and he was really difficult to mark,” Buongiorno said. “Man-marking Lukaku was also really difficult because he is so big. There are many strong strikers, and it’s always difficult. You have to study them a lot, watch their movement, and how their teammates like to get them the ball.”
Buongiorno’s admiration for Osimhen comes as no surprise, given the Nigerian striker’s impressive performances in Serie A. Osimhen’s speed, skill, and goal-scoring ability make him a formidable opponent for any defender.
