President of the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick says Super Eagles will play two friendly matches in Portugal during the FIFA window in September.
The NFF boss revealed the opponents will most likely be from Africa and South America.
“The arrangement is 70% confirmed,
we hope to make use of the FIFA windows in both September and October.”
Coach Gernot Rohr tutored side last played a game on the 17th of November 2019, where Nigeria defeated Lesotho 4-2 in the 2021 AFCON qualifier in Maseru.
CAF recently postponed the 2021 AFCON to 2022 due to the novel Coronavirus.
Nigeria Super Eagles sit top of Group L with 6 points after 2 matches.
