Nigeria Basketball Federation invites 25 players for FIBA U-18 qualifying tournament

The Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) has announced the invitation of 25 players to its training camp in preparation for the FIBA U-18 Qualifying Tournament in Abidjan.

The camp, set to open on Tuesday, July 9, in Port Harcourt, aims to prepare the team for the competition scheduled from July 29 to August 4.

Veteran youth coach Fubara Humphrey will oversee the training of the selected players, which includes a mix of 19 home-based talents and 6 players based in the USA. The full list of invited players is as follows:

The training camp is a crucial step in selecting the final squad that will represent Nigeria at the qualifiers. Following the Abidjan tournament, the second phase of qualifiers is scheduled to take place from August 16 to 25 in South Africa. The NBBF aims to ensure the team is well-prepared to secure a spot in the main FIBA U-18 Championship.
