Nigerian judokas impressed at the African Judo Open in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, returning home with a haul of one gold, one silver, and one bronze medal.
The five-member Nigerian contingent competed fiercely amongst judokas from 32 participating nations.
Leading the charge was Kehinde Paul Aremu, who secured the gold medal in the men’s 66kg category. He dominated the competition, leaving ALHASSANE Ismael of another nation in silver medal position. Following closely behind, fellow Nigerian Cee Michael secured a bronze medal in the same weight class.
Udeze Amara also displayed her skills, claiming a silver medal in the women’s 57kg category.
